The Lviv International Airport welcomed its two millionth passenger of 2019 on November 22, thus breaking its own record for annual passenger flow.

The two millionth passenger was four-month-old Solomon Klassen, who flew with his parents on a Wizz Air flight from Dortmund, the CFTS portal reports, citing information from the Lviv city council.

The Lviv airport expects its passenger flow to reach 2.2 million by the end of the year (about 40% increase).

As reported, in 2017, the Lviv airport welcomed its millionth passenger only in December. Before that, the airport handled 1 million passengers back in 1991.

In 2018, the airport welcomed its millionth passenger in August. In the entire 2018, the airport handled 1,597,700 passengers (a 47.9% increase compared with 2017).

In the first 10 months of 2019, the Lviv airport handled more than 1.871 million passengers (a 39.3% increase).
