X-Press Feeders will launch a new feeder service on the Black Sea. According to information from the shipping line, Istanbul, Constanta, Odesa, and Illichivsk will be the first in the feeder service’s rotation, SeaNews reports.

Ship calls at Varna and Burgas will be added to the service in January, and the service will have the following rotation: Istanbul - Constanta - Varna - Istanbul - Burgas - Odesa - Illichivsk - Istanbul. Two vessels with a capacity of 1,900 TEU will be used for the service.

As The Ruscon limited liability company’s Development Director Andrei Narayevsky explained to SeaNews, the launch of the service has nothing to do with Russia’s sanctions on Turkey. It is focused on markets in the western part of the Black Sea (Ukraine, Romania, and Bulgaria).

X-Press Feeders also offers Black Sea services to Novorossiysk - X-Press Feeders launched the operation of a second vessel in 2012 as part of a joint service with Evergreen. a service has been operated under a slot-charter agreement since May this year, with X-Press Feeders taking slots on Evergreen’s vessels that make calls at Piraeus, Novorossiysk, Odesa, Constanta, Varna, and Istanbul in rotation.
