The Nibulon company plans to revive transportation of goods on River Desna in 2018. The company’s head Oleksii Vadaturskyi announced this at the conference "Dnipro in the European Fairway," which was held in Kyiv on 22 June, the CFTS correspondent reports.

"We will take on the Desna next year. We will make it navigable. If I said so, it means it will be so," Vadaturskyi said in comments to the CFTS correspondent.

According to Vadaturskyi, the company will perform its own dredging work if necessary. Asked whether Nibulon would build terminals along the Desna, Vadaturskyi refused to answer.

As reported, the Nibulon shipyard launched the "Yurii Makarov” tugboat in April this year and later launched the "Anatolii Hankevych" tugboat, both of which are designed to operate in shallow waters, including on rivers Desna and Pripyat. The company also has a branch in the village of Mutin (Sumy region), which is located on River Seim, which flows into River Desna.

Nibulon currently transports goods on rivers Dnipro and Southern Bug, along which it has built several grain elevators.
