In Mariupol, which the Russian army temporarily occupies, the invaders are cutting up railroad cars and sending them to Donetsk for melting.
The Mariupol city council announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
"Initially, they were cutting enterprises for scrap. Now, they are cutting up railroad cars and sending them to Donetsk," the statement said.
According to a representative of one of the city's utility companies, "We will cut up railroad cars and send them to Donetsk for melting."
"The occupiers are unable to restore any of the city's large enterprises to normal operation. There is no railroad link either. They destroyed the railroad itself during the blockade of the city. They have already taken USD 25 million worth of metal from the Mariupol port. This is not enough for them. So, they continue to cut and export everything that is left," the city council said.
