The Odesa international airport handled 869,000 passengers in the period of January-October this year, which is more than 5% higher than the passenger volume in the same period of last year.
According to the airport, it handled 676,000 passengers on international flights and 193,000 on domestic flights in the period of January-October this year. In total, it handled 9,842 flights.
The airport handled 92,200 passengers in October this year, which is 22.4% more than the volume in October last year. It is the highest volume since October 1991. The airport handled 1,178 flights during the month.
According to the airport, the Lufthansa airline and the Czech Airlines announced the extension of their winter flight programs from Odesa to Munich and Prague, respectively, to the winter. The flydubai airline has increased the number of its flights to Dubai to three per week while Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has increased the number of its flights to Tel Aviv to five per week.
