Operation of the passenger terminal at the Odesa seaport may be transferred to an investor. This was announced at the Ukrainian Ports Forum 2018, which took place last week.

The following facilities are located at the passenger terminal: a concert and exhibition hall, the terminal building’s central hall, the Odesa hotel, the Grand Europe restaurant, a marine art gallery, and yachting complex.

The passenger terminal is capable of handling more than 1 million passengers per year. The berths at the passenger terminal have a length of 1,370 meters and depths of 9.5-11.5 meters. It is capable of accommodating vessels with a maximum length of 330 meters. The passenger terminal also has a parking lot for more than 300 cars, more than 10,500 square meters of indoor exhibition area, and more than 30,000 square meters of open territory.

The yachting complex at the passenger terminal occupies an area of 16,000 square meters. The berths there have depths of 10-13 meters. The length of yachts is unlimited. The navigation period is from April 1 to November 1.

The terminal is located 8 kilometers from an airport, 3 kilometers from a railway station, and 5 kilometers from a bus station.

The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority expects a private investor to manage the passenger terminal for a long period and generate revenue from its operation.

Operation of the passenger terminal is expected to be transferred to an investor during the period of 2018-2019.
