The Kyiv airport handled 224,600 passengers in January 2019, which is 44.2% more than it handled in January 2018, the CFTS portal reports, citing data provided by the airport.
The airport handled 219,800 passengers on international flights and 4,800 on domestic flights.
The airport handled 2,282 flights in January, which are 21.6% more than it handled in January 2018. These include 1,965 international flights and 317 domestic flights.
The most popular international destinations in January 2019 were Sharm el-Sheikh, Warsaw, Minsk, Vienna, Ankara, Frankfurt am Main, and Berlin; the most popular domestic destinations were Odesa, Lviv, and Zaporizhia.
As reported, the Kyiv airport handled 2.812 million passengers in 2018, which is 52% more than the number it handled in 2017. It handled 30,248 flights in 2018, 30.1% more than it handled in 2017. Of these, 25,423 were international flights and 4,825 domestic flights.
As the CFTS portal reported earlier, passenger traffic through the Lviv airport increased by 48.5% to 127,100 in in January 2019, compared with in January 2018.
Passenger traffic through the Kharkiv airport increased by 20% in in January 2019, compared with in January 2018.
Passenger traffic through the Boryspil airport increased by 14% to 897,195 in January 2019, compared with in January 2018.
