The Lviv airport handled 55,000 passengers in November, an increase of 35.1% in passenger traffic compared with last year’s figures. According to the Lviv airport, 78% of the passengers were on international flights.
The most popular destinations in November in terms of passenger traffic were Istanbul (SAW, IST), Boryspil (KBP), Hurghada, Warsaw, and Sharm el-Sheikh. Most often, aircraft flew to Istanbul (SAW, IST), Warsaw, Boryspil (KBP), Minsk, and Munich.
The number of flights performed in November was 747, of which 557 (75%) were international flights and 190 (25%) domestic flights.
The largest numbers of passengers in November 2016 were carried by Ukraine International Airlines (UIA), LOT Polish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, Atlasjet Ukraine, and Azur Air Ukraine. The highest numbers of flights were performed by UIA, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Belavia, and Motor Sich.
In total, the Lviv airport received 680,500 passengers in the first 11 months of this year, which is 27.3% more than the number it received in the same period of last year (534,600 passengers). Of these, 537,800 passengers were on international flights and 142,700 on domestic flights. The number of flights in the period of January-November 2016 was 8,128, which 21.6% more than the number (6,684) in the corresponding period of last year.
