According to the latest data, Ukrainian airports handled 5.895 million passengers in the period of January-August 2020 or 63.3% fewer passengers than they handled in the corresponding period of 2019.

The number of international passengers handled by Ukrainian airports reduced by 64% to 5.218 million in the period of January-August 2020, the CFTS portal reports, citing the Interfax Ukraine news agency.

According to statistics from the State Aviation Service, Ukrainian airlines transported 3.105 million passengers in the period of January-August 2020, which is 66.3% fewer than they transported in the corresponding period of 2019.

Of these, 2.772 million were international passengers (a 67.2% reduction compared with the corresponding period of 2019).

Ukrainian airlines performed 28,300 commercial flights in the period of January-August 2020 (a 59.2% reduction), including 22,700 international commercial flights (61%).

As the CFTS reported earlier, the volume of passenger traffic through the Boryspil airport reduced by 66% in the first seven months of 2020. The airport handled 80% fewer passengers in July 2020, compared with July 2019.
