The Poltava airport is preparing for the launch of international charter flights. The first flight on the Poltava-Antalya route is scheduled for May this year, the CFTS reports.
"Although we have little time, we are performing the ambitious task of launching the first Poltava-Antalya passenger flight in May this year," the Poltava regional administration’s first deputy head Andrii Pesotskyi said.
The Join Up! tour operator’s Executive Director Dmytro Seroukhov and the Yanair airline’s Commercial Director Taras Stryhunenko visited the airport for this purpose. Together with the region's leadership and enterprises, they discussed steps to improve the airport's infrastructure.
"We discussed the priority repairs at the terminal and on the runway. We made a final decision on the location of the arrival and departure areas for international flights and the service area for passengers on domestic flights…" said Pesotskyi.
As reported, the Poltava airport gained the status of an international airport in December 2017.
