The time of arrival in Lviv allows passengers to transfer to night trains traveling to Kyiv, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia, Odesa, Poltava, and Kharkiv. In Przemysl, passengers can transfer to trains to Krakow, Wroclaw, and Zielona Góra.

The new train was launched thanks to cooperation between PKP Intercity and Ukrzaliznytsia. According to the press service of PKP Intercity, the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure and Development will subsidize operation of the trains.

As reported, the Lviv-Przemysl train was canceled in 2007 due to damage from transportation of contraband by passengers.

As reported, Paweł Kopczyński, the head of the rail transport department at the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure, said in a recent interview with the CFTS portal that Poland was interested in high-speed rail links between Warsaw and Lviv and between Kiev and Warsaw.

"But the issue of investment in the infrastructure of such an expensive project arises. It must be remembered that this amount is about EUR 15 billion. We are not abandoning this project but saying that it is necessary to study its economics. It is important to us for there to be high-speed rail links between our two countries, not only to Lviv, but also to Kyiv. However, it is necessary to solve the problem of funding," Kopczyński said.
