Refurbished trams from Leipzig (Germany) began operating on the streets of Dnipro on Saturday, 9 November.
The Dnipro City Council announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
The first seven trams have started operating on one of the city's most popular routes.
The trams reinforced the 27-kilometer route No. 5, one of the three most popular routes in Dnipro.
The trams were refurbished at the specialized rolling stock repair shop of the Dnipro Elektrotransport municipal enterprise without the involvement of an external contractor.
The trams were adapted to Ukrainian track specifications and painted red.
