The Reni seaport (Odesa region) increased cargo handling by 41% to 123,000 tons in the period of January-February this year, compared to the same period last year, according to the latest data from the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
The port handled 9,000 tons of bulk cargo, which is 68.2% less than the volume it handled a year ago.
The volume of dry bulk cargo handled by the port increased by 89.5% to 114,200 tons, including 40,000 tons of grain (a 5.5-fold increase), 10,000 tons of chemical and mineral fertilizers (a 59.3% reduction), and 64,000 tons of other cargo.
The Reni port did not handle unitized cargo in January-February.
