Road repair workers have repaired a bridge on the M-01 Kyiv – Chernihiv – Novi Yarylovichi highway on the approach to Chernihiv.
The State Road Service (Ukravtodor) announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
"The man-made structure was destroyed during active hostilities at the beginning of March, when Russian troops tried to break through to the regional center from Yahidne. The defenders of Chernihiv welcomed them ‘hospitably’ here. The invaders were never able to break into the city," Ukravtodor said in the statement.
The bridge was destroyed completely by an explosion.
After the liberation of the region in April, traffic was restored by building a temporary crossing. A bridge construction crew began the construction of a new artificial structure in August.
"We plan to fully open the renovated bridge to traffic in November," Ukravtodor said.
