Russia launched another attack on the port infrastructure in the Mykolaiv region in the evening of 24 August.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Southern Operational Command announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
"Mykolaiv was attacked by rockets from a Smerch multiple-launch rocket system in the evening. The strike was aimed at the port infrastructure. No casualties. The scale of the destruction is being assessed," the command said in its briefing for 24 August.
The previous Russian attack on the port infrastructure in the Mykolaiv region was reported on August 11.
The Russian occupiers attacked the oil terminal in the port of Mykolaiv on 2 August. The port infrastructure in the region was repeatedly attacked before that, including on 26 July.
It should be noted that the Mykolaiv port was considered for participation in the initiative on the establishment of a safe maritime corridor for the export of Ukrainian grain.
