Russian occupiers could move steel products produced at the Metinvest group’s Azovstal and Illich iron and steel plants from Mariupol to the ports of Rostov, Taganrog, Novorossiysk, Tuapse, and occupied Sevastopol.

The Metinvest group announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.

According to Metinvest, the stolen products could later be sold illegally to the African and Asian countries that do not support the sanctions policy against Russia.

"Under international and Ukrainian law, the actions of the aggressor state’s representatives, including the armed seizure of the Metinvest group’s merchant ships and products, have all the markings of piracy and looting, which are violations of the laws and customs of war and are serious international crimes," the Metinvest group said in the statement.
