Mykhailo Podoliak, an adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, has said that the Russian military in occupied Kherson have instructed railway workers in the occupied regions to redirect all damaged and undamaged gondola cars to Nova Kakhovka and Kherson, where they are being disassembled and sent to the Crimea.

The CFTS portal reported this, citing the Economic Pravda publication.

"According to information from local sources, the occupiers have given an ultimatum to railway workers in the temporarily captured southern regions to redirect all damaged and undamaged gondola cars to Nova Kakhovka and Kherson. I emphasize: all wagons, including those that are barely ‘alive,’" he said.

Podoliak added that the Russians are dismantling the railcars that arrive in the occupied areas: "The wheelsets and bogies are being dismantled to be sent to the occupied Crimea, and the frames and bodies are being sent to the Crimea to be scrapped."

According to him, railway workers have been ordered to leave only the flatcars for transporting equipment and a small fleet for internal transportation within the non-government-controlled territories.
