SmartTicket, a single electronic ticket for travel on long-distance trains belonging to the Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) and public transport, has gone on sale in Kyiv.
This was announced by Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Kryklyi, the CFTS portal reports.
According to him, the tickets can be purchased on the smartticket.gov.ua transport portal.
The minister also said that a service offering a single electronic ticket for airplanes, buses, and Ukrzaliznytsia’s commuter trains would be launched jointly with the SkyUp airline and the Gunsel Lines bus operator in November.
The CFTS portal reported earlier that SmartTicket, a single electronic ticket for long-distance trains and the Kyiv subway, would go on sale in in September. According to the minister of infrastructure, the plan is to connect all modes of transport – trains, buses, airplanes, and public transport – with a single electronic ticket in the future.
