The Boryspil international airport handled 2.105 million passengers in the period of January-April this year, which is 13% more than the number it handled in the same period last year. The volume of transit passengers increased 2.3-fold to 562,000, the press service of the airport reports.

The proportion of passengers that used the airport as an interchange hub in the period of January-April this year was 27%. It came close to a record 30% in April.

The Boryspil airport is the largest airport in Ukraine, accounting for more than 68% of the air passenger traffic in the country. More than 50 airlines perform regular flights from the airport to more than 100 destinations around the world.

The Boryspil airport is the only Ukrainian airport that handles long-haul flights. It is technically capable of handling aircraft in low visibility and adverse weather conditions.
