SkyUp, the new Ukrainian airline, received its first aircraft Boeing 737-800. The plane with registration number UR-SQA is still coloured in livery of Malaysia Airlines, its previous operator, the CFTS reported.

The aircraft departed today from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport and landed in Kyiv Zhuliany airport. The plane is expected to be delivered to Bratislava for colouring in SkyUp livery. Boeing 737-800 is 4.7 years old.

Earlier SkyUp has been registered its two first aircrafts. The planes were listed into the state register on April, 20 under the numbers of UR-SQA and UR-SQB.
Moreover, the air carrier signed the agreement with Boeing company for supplying of two Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircrafts and three middle-haul Boeing 737 MAX 10. The order will be fulfilled in 2023.

Initially SkyUp airline announced the launch of flights on April, but failed to implement these plans. The main cause of that is a lach of air operator's certificate (AOC). Also the airline planned to start intra-Ukraine flights on May or June.
