A memorandum between the state-owned Ilyichevsk Commercial Seaport and the Soufflet Group (France), a major player on the global grain market, was signed at the Ministry of Infrastructure on Friday, 19 June, the CFTS correspondent reports.

According to Mykola Horbachev, the director of New World Grain Ukraine (part of the Soufflet Group) for the Black Sea region, investment in construction of the grain terminal will amount to USD 100 million.

The storage capacity will be about 100,000 tons of grain and the annual shipment volume 1 million tons.

The Soufflet Group is one of the world's largest producers of malt. In Ukraine, the Soufflet Group has invested in production of malt, as well as in storage of brewer’s barley and wheat.
