A Tarpan high-speed train (formerly known as the EKr1 high-speed train, which was designed by the Kryukov Railcar Building Works) has begun operating on the Kiev-Lvov route, the CFTS correspondent reports.
The train departed from the Darnytsia station in Kiev at about 17:10.
As reported earlier, another Tarpan high-speed train will begin operation on the Kiev-Odessa route on July 1.
The Tarpan high-speed trains consist of nine railcars. The trains have 609 passenger seats and are capable of reaching speeds of up to 200 km/h.
