The container turnover of the TIS group of terminals increased by 23.7% to 181,700 TEU in the period of January-September 2020, compared with the corresponding period of 2019, the CFTS portal reports, citing the Interfax Ukraine news agency.
"An excellent result, which was made possible by systematic investments in development of the terminal’s infrastructure and purchase of new equipment, development of related services, particularly container transportation by rail," said Andrii Stavnitser, co-owner of the TIS terminal group.
According to the group, its container turnover increased by 75% to 220,000 TEU in 2019.
As the CFTS portal previously reported, the TIS terminal group handled 24.16 million tons of cargo in the period of January-August 2020, which is 17.3% more than it handled in the corresponding period of 2019. The group handled 33 million tons of cargo in 2019, which is 28.4% more than it handled in 2018.
