A2B Direct, an online platform for carriers that was championed by Ukrainian businessman, former parliamentary deputy, and former transport minister Yevhen Chervonenko, will be presented in Ukraine on 20 October, the Interfax Ukraine news agency reports.
"37 years ago, I started my career at the wheels of a long-haul MAZ truck and I understand this area very well. I know very well how difficult it is for a Ukrainian cargo carrier to earn every penny. A2B Direct is an innovative logistics friend that will allow provision of the best service and reduction of expenditures on forwarders," Chervonenko said.
According to him, A2B Direct offers searches for the optimal cargo carrier, it is capable of maintaining contact with a driver 24/7, and provides the full range of document management, insurance, and legal support. Users of the service will be able to track their cargoes online and avoid forwarding charges.
The service began test operation in Ukraine in October and it will also be available to users in the “near abroad” in 2017. Registration on the website of the service is free until the end of 2016.
The project’s partners include Kyivstar, WOG, OKKO, Alfa Bank Ukraine, Vostok Bank, and the Unison insurance company. The project is being launched with the support of the Association of International Road Carriers (ASMAP).
