The head of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company (UDP), Dmytro Moskalenko, has announced the transshipment of Ukrainian soy from a caravan of barges onto a ship in the port of Constanta.

The UDP announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.

"Transshipment is performed in 2-3 days under the new scheme. That is faster than transshipment at a port terminal, where a caravan spends a week and sometimes two weeks waiting in line," he said.

According to the head of the UDP, the new transshipment scheme significantly reduces the risk of demurrage, speeds up the turnover of the company’s fleet, and, accordingly, increases the company’s profitability.
