In comments to the CFTS portal, Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has denied the media reports claiming that the airline company intends to wet-lease 85% of its aircraft fleet to other operators.
"The UIA has wet-leased 10% of its fleet until the end of the summer. That is, it has retained its fleet and staff despite a significant drop in demand," UIA’s Executive Vice President for Strategy and Development Yevhen Treskunov wrote on his Facebook page.
As reported, the Hubs publication recently reported that UIA was cutting 85% of its aircraft fleet. This report was prompted by an advertisement on a commercial bulletin board on the website of the Boeing company.
