Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) launched regular direct passenger flights between Kyiv and Colombo (Sri Lanka) on 5 November. This route is the airline’s fourth long-haul route, the CFTS reports.
The flights will be operated twice a week throughout the year, using Boeing 767-300 aircraft. The flights will depart from Kyiv on Tuesdays and Saturdays and from Colombo on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Business, premium economy, and economy classes will be offered.
UIA is considering increasing the frequency of flights on the Kyiv-Colombo route to three flights per week in the long term. The price of a roundtrip economy-class ticket (including all fees and taxes) starts at UAH 15,513 (the price may vary depending on fluctuations in the UAH/USD exchange rate).
As reported, the airline started regular direct passenger flights between Kyiv and Dusseldorf on 30 October. It launched regular flights on the Kyiv-Ankara route on the same day.
