Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has obtained permission to open new routes to Lithuania and increase the frequency of its flights on the Kyiv-Vilnius route from 16 to 21 per week. The State Aviation Service’s commission on airlines made the relevant decision on Monday, the CFTS correspondent reports.

UIA also received permission to operate flights on the routes Lviv-Kaunas (three times per week) and Odesa-Kaunas (twice per week).

Permission to fly to both destinations was issued for the period from 1 October 2016 to 1 October 2066.

As previously reported, the State Aviation Service has reached agreement on increase of the number of destinations for direct flights between Ukraine and two European Union countries (the Czech Republic and Lithuania).
