Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) plans to launch flights from Kharkiv to Milan. The first flight is scheduled for April 27, the CFTS reports, citing information from the Kharkiv airport.
Flights to Italy (the Milan-Bergamo airport) will be performed on Tuesdays and Fridays. The travel time will be 3 hours 15 minutes. The flights will depart from Lviv at 21:35 and land in Milan at 23:50, local time. Return flights to Kharkiv will be operated on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The travel time will be 3 hours 10 minutes. The flights will depart from Milan at 00:40 and arrive in Lviv at 04:50.
Previously, flights from Kharkiv to Milan were performed with transfers in Kyiv, Warsaw, or other cities.
The cost of roundtrip tickets, excluding luggage, starts at UAH 5,018 (USD 188).
The Kharkiv-Milan route will be UIA’s only European route from Kharkiv. In addition, the airline operates direct flights from Kharkiv to Kyiv and Tel Aviv. Its aircraft fly to Kyiv twice a day and Tel Aviv four times a week.
Ernest Airline, an Italian low-cost airline, plans to launch direct flights from Lviv to Milan (Malpensa airport) this year. This carrier already flies to Milan (Bergamo airport).
