Ukraine is planning to grant concessions for operation of all regional divisions of the State Road Agency (Ukravtodor). Regional road agencies are included on the list of state assets that are recommended for operation as concessions, which is posted on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
In addition, according to another list, the following assets in the road industry are to be privatized by the year 2020: the Ukrdiprodor design institute, Ukrdorsvyaz, the Shulgin institute, the Center for Scientific and Technical Support for Road Works and Certification of Road Products, the Bridge Design Institute, the Ukrglavmostekspertiza state enterprise, and others.
Ukravtodor implements its policies in the regions through regional road agencies. In addition, Ukravtodor controls the Automobile Roads of Ukraine state joint-stock company, which is directly responsible for operational maintenance and repair of public roads. The company has subsidiaries in all regions of Ukraine.
