A trailer from Kirovograd has transported 115 tons of grain on a single trip. Roman Khmil, the curator of the reform of the State Automobile Road Service (Ukravtodor) at the Ministry of Infrastructure, announced this on his Facebook page.

"We are going for the annual record and simultaneously for the Darwin prize: a carrier from Kirovograd, FOP Shevchenko, its photos were taken a few days ago. It transported 115 tons of grain, and its gross weight was 135 tons!!! People are writing that it broke the weighing machine at Nibulon, not to mention the road on which it traveled there," wrote Khmil.

As reported, Andrii Vadaturskyi, a former deputy director of the Nibulon grain trader and the son of the company’s owner, supported a protest by drivers of overloaded trucks on 19 August.

The Nikolayev divisions of the Automobile Road Service and the State Road Transport Inspectorate (Ukrtransinspektsia) installed a system for weighing trucks heading in the direction of Nikolayev on the Nikolayev-Dnepropetrovsk highway on Tuesday, 18 August. However, truck drivers blocked the highway and demanded removal of the weighing system.
