The State Automobile Road Service (Ukravtodor) has launched a search for an investor in construction of the first concession road in Ukraine, which will connect Lvov and Krakovets. The concessionaire will manage an 84-kilometer highway for up to 49 years, the press service of Ukravtodor said.

Starting this week until 15 May, all interested companies - both residents and non-residents of Ukraine - that wish to invest in the project and potentially meet the requirements for the concession tender can send letters to Ukravtodor’s Department of International Cooperation and Investment (9, Fizkultura Street, Kyiv-03680, Room 511; [email protected]).

The letters do not impose any obligation on companies, and they can be written in any form. Therefore, companies may add information or presentation materials about projects that have already been completed.

The concession road will connect the Korchova-Krakovets international crossing point with Lvov. It will become part of the TEM-T III corridor (Dresden-Wroclaw-Lvov-Kiev). The highway will skirt the population centers Nakonechnoye, Nakonechnoye 2, Yavorov, Ivano-Frankovo, and Lvov (northern bypass), and it will be constructed in accordance with the technical category 1a (four lanes).

The concession tender is expected to begin in May 2015. If successful and a winner is selected, the winning company will have to achieve financial close if the project in 2016.
