The Ukrposhta postal company and Privatbank have implemented a joint project for upgrade of the company's fleet of vehicles through a special leasing program developed by the state-owned bank.
Citing its First Deputy Board Chairman Oleh Serheev, the financial institution said that Ukrposhta would receive 83 new branded vehicles worth about UAH 40 million in the first phase of the project.
The first batch of vehicles is already in operation in Lviv.
According to local mass media, Ukrposhta leased Citroen Berlingo, Citroen Jumper, Iveco Daily, and Mercedes Sprinter Atego commercial vehicles. At least, the postal company presented these models of vehicles in the city as part of a promotional campaign.
Ukrposhta is under the management of the Ministry of Infrastructure. It provides about 50 types of services at 11,500 branches throughout Ukraine. The company employs 73,000 workers, including 36,000 postal workers.
