The Ukrposhta national postal operator has added 24 Foton trucks, which have a load carrying capacity of 4.75 tons, to its fleet. Ukrposhta’s First Deputy General Director Oleksandr Pertsovskyi announced this to the CFTS portal.

"We concluded the contract for supply of the trucks in December after a tender. We have already received the trucks. We are now sending them to the regions. Each region will receive one truck. This is stipulated in the terms of a grant from the Universal Postal Union. These trucks are equipped with tail lifts, which allow deliverer of large equipment," Pertsovskyi said.

According to the ProZorro electronic public procurement system, the Foton FKF-1061C-08 trucks were delivered by the Ukrainian company Ukravtoinvest. The trucks were developed in China but assembled in Ukraine by the Kobalt car assembly plant (Kharkiv).

The rear-wheel-drive trucks have an engine capacity of 3.7 liters and a load carrying capacity of 4.75 tons. All the trucks are equipped with a tail lifts that is capable of lifting cargoes weighing up to 1 ton. The deal is worth a total of USD 30.99 million. The Universal Postal Union provided these funds to Ukrposhta.
