The State Railway Administration (Ukrzaliznytsia) has purchased spare parts for electric and diesel locomotives from Lugansk Electrical Machine-Building Plant LLC, which is a subsidiary of the Lugansk electrical machine-building plant. The relevant contract, which was signed in July this year, has a value of UAH 49 million. The CFTS portal gathered this information from an analysis of the Ukrzaliznychpostach state railway logistics enterprise’s tenders for the third quarter of this year.

The largest tender, which was won by this company, will generate UAH 27.5 million. With this money, Lugansk Electrical Machine-Building Plant LLC will supply spare parts for electric locomotives of the ChS series to Ukrzaliznytsia. Another big win was a contract for supply of spare parts worth UAH 13.7 million for electric locomotives of the VL series.

As reported, Lugansk Electrical Machine-Building Plant LLC was founded in Kiev in May 2014 after the proclamation of the Lugansk People’s Republic in Lugansk. The production facilities of the Lugansk electrical machine-building plant were moved to the Rostov region of Russia in October last year. The plant began operating on Russian territory in February this year.
