The Darnytskyi Railcar Repair Plant, which is a division of the Ukrainian Railways public joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia), has invited tenders for supply of 3,000 freight gondola cars. The cost of the gondola cars is expected to total UAH 2.999 billion (including VAT). This is shown in tender documentation published in the Prozorro public procurement system.
The tenders were invited on 18 January. Interested suppliers are to submit bids by 20-21 February.
According to the tender documentation, the gondola cars should have a carrying capacity of not less than 70 tons, a maximum speed of 120 km/h, and a volume of 76-85 cubic meters.
The gondola cars are to be delivered in the first half of this year. They should be manufactured in 2017.
