Ukrainian Railways transported 65,317 containers of all types (import, export, transit, and domestic) from January to October, the press service of the State Railway Administration (Ukrzaliznytsia) has announced.

Of these, 58,620 containers (about 93%) were transported in container trains.

Trains plying the Košice-Perspektiva (Slovakia-Russia) route transported 13,356 containers, trains on the Nikopol-Ilyichevsk-Nikopol route transported 7,414, trains traveling from Romania to Moscow and back transported 6,492, the Land Bridge train (China-Hungary) transported 4,420, the Dneprovets train (Odessa-Dnepropetrovsk) transported 5,725, the Khreschatyk train (Odessa-Kiev) transported 4,465, and Kiev-Dorneshti trains transported 6,182 containers.

Currently, 14 container trains operate on the territory of Ukraine. Containers transported in container trains account for 40% of the total volume of containers transported in Ukraine.
