Uzhhorod - Ivano-Frankivsk trains are planned to be launched in transit through Romania

Trains are planned to run from Uzhgorod to Ivano-Frankivsk, transiting through the territory of Romania.

This was announced by the head of Zakarpattia Oblast Viktor Mykyta.

Тhe railway route from Uzhhorod to Ivano-Frankivsk will pass through the following points: Uzhgorod - Teresva - international railway checkpoint "Teresva - Kimpulung la Tisa" - international railway checkpoint "Dilove - Valya Vysheului" - Berlibash - Rakhiv - Ivano-Frankivsk.

To implement such plans, it is still necessary to repair 17 km of railway track on the border and two bridges on the route in Romania.

This is planned to be done by the end of this year.
