Two million parcels have already been delivered through the Railway Mail Service, which has resumed operation in Ukraine after a 21-year break.

The Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.

The two millionth parcel was delivered to Kharkiv on 16 July.

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, 11 postal wagons have resumed operation. They currently deliver mail to and from six Ukrainian cities (Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Kyiv).

"The busiest postal routes remain Lviv – Kyiv and Kyiv – Kharkiv. As of today, 718 postal trips have been completed and the number of parcels delivered has increased by 55% from 477,000 in April to 741,000 in June," Ukrzaliznytsia said in a statement.

According to the statement, the Railway Mail Service also delivers humanitarian goods, which can be processed at branch offices near the central railway stations in Lviv, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Odesa or in customers’ personal accounts on the website of the Ukrposhta state postal company.

"Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrzaliznytsia has transported 160,000 tons of humanitarian aid in freight and passenger cars to occupied, blockaded, and front-line cities, as well as centers for distribution of volunteer cargoes," the statement said.
