"An agreement has been concluded with the general contractor for construction of a new airfield in Dnipro. The company will perform the construction work for UAH 3.95 billion, which is 30% less than the expected cost of the work, which was UAH 5.7 billion," Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Kryklyi said.

According to Kryklyi, preparatory work began at the facility in September last year to ensure that the airport continues operation during the construction work. A private investor called NS Dnepr company began building new passenger and VIP terminals at that time.

The construction period is about three years.

The government has allocated UAH 1.4 billion for financing the construction of the airfield this year.
