The Podkarpackie province of Poland has invited tenders for development of design documentation for construction of the Malhowice-Nyzhankovychi highway crossing on the Ukrainian border. The new border crossing point will focus on small border traffic and simplify logistics in the direction of the Ukrainian resorts of Truskavets and Skhidnytsia for residents of the Polish region and logistics in the direction of the Polish resort of Bieszczady for Ukrainians, the CFTS reports.
Tenders will be accepted until May 11. The project itself should be ready by the end of this year. Construction of the crossing is expected to begin in the second or third quarter of 2018. It is expected to be commissioned in 2020.
Polish activists are also proposing the idea of creating a Malhowice-Nyzhankovychi railway border crossing near the automobile border crossing.
