ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) exported 580,000 tons of Ukrainian grain from March to the end of August, including over 145,000 tons in August alone.

The CFTS portal reported this, citing the Rail Expo publication.

RCG’s grain carriers cross the Ukrainian border at four checkpoints: Chop (near Slovakia), Zahony (Hungary), Reni (near Romania), and Khyriv (Poland).

The destinations are linked to the locations of grain processing companies.

Most of the deliveries in August were made to Hungary, followed by Germany, Italy, and Romania, as well as the Netherlands.

The company plans to continue working with the Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) to speed up the export of grain.

A bilateral working group began work in August 2022 to optimize the sharing of information and establishing processes between cooperation partners.
