Belarus has begun transferring tanks taken out of storage to Russia.

The CFTS portal reported this, citing a statement posted in the "Belarusian Gayun" Telegram channel.

According to the statement, the tanks are being sent to the Donbas.

"At the Orsha railway station (Vitebsk region), a train carrying tanks was spotted heading towards the Russian Federation. At least 12 T-72A tanks were seen,” the statement said.

It is assumed that these tanks were taken out of the Belarusian Armed Forces’ storage facility. "The Lukashenko regime has begun transferring heavy armored vehicles taken out of storage to the Russian Federation," the statement said.

According to the statement, it has also been confirmed that 72 empty flatcars arrived at the Urechye railway station (Lyuban district, Minsk region of Belarus) from the Gotnya railway station (Belgorod region of the Russian Federation) on 1 October 2022.

The 969th tank reserve base, where T-72A tanks are being taken out of storage and loaded onto flatcars, is located in Urechye.

"Yesterday, 9 October, the first batch of 20 T-72A tanks departed for the Uspenskaya railway station (Rostov region of the Russian Federation) and subsequently in the direction of Donetsk," the statement said.
