The Boryspil airport is introducing security checks for everyone entering its territory - and not just for passengers - on July 30, the press service of the airport announced.
"In order to improve the level of security at the Boryspil airport, all visitors to the airport’s complexes - both passengers and people meeting or escort them - will be subjected to security checks from 00:00 on July 30, 2014,” the press service said.
Additional checkpoints are being established at all entrances to arrival and departure areas. To separate the flows of passengers in the arrival and departure areas, one entrance lobby will serve as the entrance to the terminal and the other will serve as the exit.
The airport urges passengers to make provision for the stricter checks by arriving early to allow themselves time for all the formalities. Check-ins for flights at the airport end 40 minutes before departure.
According to the press service, police, the relevant departments of the airport, and related organizations will tighten security measures in the airport’s landside area, terminals, and checkpoints.
