The general director of the Boryspil international airport (Kyiv region), Serhii Hombolevskyi, decided on Thursday to terminate his contract, the Interfax Ukraine news agency reported, citing the airport’s press service.
Hombolevskyi was appointed as the general director of the Boryspil airport on March 31, 2014. He has 17 years experience in the aviation enterprises, including 15 years at the Boryspil airport.
As reported earlier, Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk instructed Minister of Infrastructure Maksym Burbak on September 17 to determine whether Hombolevskyi was fit to hold the post of general director of the airport. Yatseniuk demanded an investigation to determine whether a competition for the right to provide taxi services was organized legally.
Earlier in the day, the Nashі Groshі publication published an investigation alleging that the Auto Ukraine private carrier, which has taken over Sky Taxi’s information desks without a competition, has supplanted the airport’s Sky Taxi subdivision.
