The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has amended the Targeted State Program for Development of Airports until 2023 to increase funding for construction of the Odesa airport, include the Mukacheve airport in the program, and exclude the Vinnytsia international airport from it.

The Cabinet of Ministers adopted the relevant resolution at its meeting on Wednesday, the CFTS portal reports, citing the Interfax Ukraine news agency.

The Cabinet of Ministers resolution also increased the funds intended for financing the program for construction and commissioning of an airfield at the Odesa international airport in 2020 by UAH 117.51 million.

In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers included design and construction of the Mukacheve airport, for which it plans to allocate UAH 30 million in 2020, in the Targeted State Program for Development of Airports until 2023.

The explanatory note to the document indicates that investors will finance the design of the Mukacheve airport’s terminal complex and infrastructure.

In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers excluded the Vinnytsia international airport from the list of facilities for which state funds are to be allocated through the Targeted State Program for Development of Airports until 2023.

As the CFTS portal reported earlier, the Vinnytsia airport may lose state funding. The mayor of Vinnytsia recently announced that the Ministry of Infrastructure planned to exclude the airport from the list of facilities eligible for state funds through the Targeted State Program for Development of Airports until 2023.
