The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has increased the amount of money allocated for the reconstruction and construction of road infrastructure 13-fold to UAH 6.370 billion.

The relevant order dated 28 June 2022 was published on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers, the CFTS portal reports, citing the Interfax Ukraine news agency.

With this document, the Cabinet of Ministers amended an order dated 12 April 2022, which previously allocated UAH 490 million to the State Road Agency (Ukravtodor) for this purpose.

According to the document, the funds will be used to finance the construction, reconstruction, repair, and operational maintenance of public roads of national importance; roads and streets of local importance, communally owned; the infrastructure of settlements; access roads to certain military administration facilities.

In addition, the funds will be used to finance the construction of engineering structures to meet the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and other military formations; relocation of property assets and labor resources and optimization of infrastructure, taking national security and defense needs into account, as well as the establishment of their sustainable operation at the new places of temporary location; development and implementation of measures for the erection of temporary structures to establish transport and pedestrian links.

The allocated funds will also be used to support the operations of state-owned enterprises and organizations under the control of Ukravtodor, including subsidies and current transfers for remuneration of labor, purchase of medicines and bandages, provision of food products, and payment for utility services and energy sources.
