The construction of a new passenger terminal at the Zaporizhia airport has been completed.

Mayor of Zaporizhia Volodymyr Buriak announced this in late December, the CFTS portal reports. According to the mayor, passengers will be able to use the new terminal in the spring.

"We will start putting it into operation at the beginning of 2020, and I think that residents of Zaporizhia and passengers from neighboring cities will be able to fly out from it in March," Buriak wrote on his official Facebook page. He also posted photographs of the completed terminal.

As reported, the Zaporizhia airport handled 393,000 passengers in the period of January-November 2019, which was 6.3% more than the number of passengers it handled in the same period in 2018.

As the CFTS portal also reported, the Airport Consulting Vienna company has presented a visualization of what the new airport terminal in the neighboring Dnipro could be.
