The issue of establishment of a bilateral consortium for production of aircraft was considered during a Polish-Ukrainian forum entitled "Westernization Antonov Aircraft," which was held in the Polish city of Bydgoszcz, the press service of the Antonov state enterprise announced.

The consortium could engage in development of special modifications of Antonov aircraft with an expanded range of components produced in Poland and other European countries, according to the press service.

In addition, participants in the forum discussed preparation of a joint proposal to equip the defense ministries of Ukraine and Poland with a new generation of patrol aircraft manufactured by Antonov.

The Polish participants in the forum included representatives of aviation companies, including the WZL - 1/3 aircraft repair plant in Bydgoszcz, the Drabpol company, Arboleda LLC, the Polish Institute of Aviation, ITWL Air Force Institute of Technology, as well as other companies and organizations.
