The Etalon Corporation expects to complete the certification of its A084 Tulip intercity bus, which the manufacturer plans to introduce to the European Union market, in the coming months.

The corporation’s President Volodymyr Butko announced this to the CFTS portal.

"We have made an intercity bus that complies with the Euro 6 emissions standard. We have been certifying it in Spain for a year. We have passed almost all the tests, but we have not yet obtained a certificate. We should obtain a certificate for the bus around April, after which we will be able to send test results to those countries in which there is preliminary interest in purchasing them. It will be possible to talk about signing of contracts after successful tests,” Butko said.

The corporation already has a preliminary agreement on sale of these buses in Poland.

“We have plans for sale of these buses to Eastern European countries – Bulgaria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, and the Baltic States. As of today, we have signed a dealership agreement with a Polish company,” Butko said, but he did not provide details of the agreement. According tom him, the agreement involves 50 buses per year from the start of delivery.

The A084 Tulip bus is built on the DAF LF chassis, and it is equipped with a 4.5-liter Paccar PX-5 turbo-diesel engine with 213 horsepower and a ZF 6-speed mechanical gearbox. The bus has a length of 10 meters and it is designed for 37 sitting passengers.

As reported earlier, the Chernihiv automobile plant, which is part of the Etalon Corporation, is preparing to launch production of trams.
